Nootka Sound is a three hour drive from Parksville which you can get to by taking Highway 19 north then turning west on Gold River Highway. The drive to Nootka Sound is filled with beautiful lakes and forest scenery making for a relaxing trip. 

Nootka Sound is a fisherman and boaters dreamland and the perfect place to stay for your adventures is the Moutcha Bay Resort, located at the mouth of the Conuma River, 40 minutes west of Gold River. 

Newly constructed in 2011, Moutcha Bay Resort provides a unique collection of wilderness adventure products and services not otherwise found in this region. This waterfront resort offers guided fishing packages, and a 70 slip marina complete with a boat launch, fuel services and a marina store.
