With more than two decades of executive leadership experience in luxury resorts, casinos, and full-service hotels, Patrick brings a wealth of operational expertise and a proven record of elevating guest experiences. His impressive career includes leadership roles with some of North America’s most recognized hospitality brands, including Caesars Windsor, Casino Rama, and Fairmont Hotels.

Most recently, Patrick served as Director of Food & Beverage at Alyeska Resort in Alaska, where he oversaw ten on-site restaurants and implemented a comprehensive resort-wide F&B strategy that reflected both luxury positioning and local culture. His leadership reduced turnover by 400% and produced significant gains in profitability and guest satisfaction.

Beyond his operational accomplishments, Patrick has also shared his knowledge as a hospitality instructor and consultant, mentoring future industry leaders and guiding hospitality businesses toward sustainable success. He holds a Master Certificate in Foodservice Management from Cornell University and is currently completing a MiniMBA from the University of Windsor, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

May 15, 2023 – True Key Hotels & Resorts Ltd. (True Key), a leading resort and hotel management company in Western Canada, is excited to announce the relocation of its corporate headquarters to a new office in Calgary, Alberta, effective June 1st. True Key will be moving from the mountain village of Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia, to Calgary, AB, to advance the operations and growth of the company.

APPOINTMENT OF NEW CONTROLLER TO TRUE KEY HOTELS & RESORTS 

November 30, 2022 – True Key Hotels & Resorts Ltd. announced today the appointment of Basit Chaudhry to the position of controller. Mr. Chaudhry will become the company’s principal accounting officer.

Basit has proven to be a well-respected leader throughout his career, having held many notable positions, including the director of finance and IT support at the Hyatt Regency Calgary, director of finance and business support at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, and assistant director of finance at the Delta Kananaskis Lodge. His career has also included time as an entrepreneur developing and managing his own accounting firm over the past two years.

Buerge has worked with True Key for the past 7 years and has proven herself to be a dynamic and inspirational leader. Her most recent position with True Key was as the General Manager of the Harrison Beach Hotel in Harrison Hot Springs, BC. Prior to that she was the Acting General Manager at Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort in Parksville, BC, another True Key managed property. Her career has also included time as an entrepreneur with extensive experience managing high-performing teams in her previous roles. Her personality and considerable experience make her an ideal candidate to lead True Key’s our resort operations in Sooke to further success.
