Michael Anderson, President & CEO

Michael is a seasoned hospitality professional with over 30 years of experience in business development and management, specializing in condo-style resort and full-service hotel management alongside food and beverage operations. He played senior leadership roles in the opening and operating of numerous Okanagan, Coastal, Interior and Vancouver Island strata titled resorts and hotels, fostering positive working relationships with local stakeholders, municipalities, DMOs and indigenous leaders.

Michael has worked extensively in Western Canada’s premier hospitality markets, including Osoyoos, Kelowna, Canmore, Banff, Parksville, Radium Hot Springs, Harrison Hot Springs, Sooke, and Nootka Sound. His expertise lies in developing and overseeing resort rental programs and owner association management while maintaining a keen focus on elevating properties to attract guests and enhance profitability. Additionally, Michael consults on resort development projects, helping shape operational strategies, financial & legal structures, and food and beverage concepts that drive success.

Basit Chaudhry, Director of Finance

Basit is a highly respected leader at True Key, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained over a distinguished global career in hospitality finance and business management. His impressive professional journey includes holding several senior leadership roles at prestigious organizations, such as Director of Finance and IT Support at the Hyatt Regency Calgary, Director of Finance and Business Support at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, and Assistant Director of Finance at Delta Kananaskis Lodge. Since joining True Key, Basit has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and ensuring the accounting department is equipped to meet the demands of a dynamic and evolving business environment. His ability to navigate complex financial landscapes, implement robust systems, and drive operational efficiency has been instrumental in supporting the company’s growth and success.

Trevor Webb, Director of Operations

Trevor has been an invaluable member of the True Key team since 2017, bringing extensive expertise in hospitality and food & beverage management. Before joining True Key, Trevor served as Food & Beverage Manager for Radium Golf Group and also held the role of Director of Operations for Chiro Foods Ltd., overseeing the daily operations of eight full-service branded restaurants across Alberta and British Columbia. In these roles, he developed a reputation for operational excellence, team leadership, and a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences. His ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, foster strong guest relationships, and implement innovative operational strategies has been instrumental in driving continuous improvement and aligning with True Key’s mission of delivering memorable guest experiences.

Katie Wallace, Director of Sales & Marketing

Katie joined the True Key Hotels & Resorts team in the summer of 2011. In her role, Katie oversees a wide array of marketing initiatives aimed at driving growth and visibility for True Key Hotels & Resorts. Her expertise extends to executing multi-channel advertising campaigns, designing and developing compelling promotional materials, and spearheading online advertising and email marketing efforts. Additionally, Katie plays a key role in coordinating and managing sales strategies across the entire True Key portfolio, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Katie contributes her expertise to the wider tourism industry as an active member of the Board of Directors for both Tourism Radium and the Columbia Valley Tourism Marketing Society.

Shrikant Rohamare, Sales Manager

Shrikant is a seasoned hospitality professional with over 13 years of experience in the global hospitality industry. His career journey has taken him across diverse markets, including India, the United Kingdom, and Ontario, where he honed his skills working with renowned brands such as Marriott, Wyndham, and IHG. Since joining the True Key Hotels & Resorts team, Shrikant has brought his passion for sales, guest satisfaction, innovative problem-solving, and team collaboration to the forefront. His creative approach to sales and meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high standards make him an invaluable asset to the organization. With a track record of success in upscale hospitality environments, Shrikant continues to contribute to True Key’s mission of delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for every guest.

Karina Gaudreau, Human Resources Manager

Karina joined the True Key Hotels & Resorts team in December 2015, bringing with her a wealth of experience spanning over 15 years in the hospitality industry and 10 years in the oil and gas sector. Her diverse background has equipped her with a unique blend of skills and insights, enabling her to drive meaningful change and foster organizational excellence. She has played an integral role in defining, establishing, and continually developing a workplace environment that prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being. Her key areas of focus include implementing standardized HR policies, HR technologies, streamlining recruitment processes, enhancing employee engagement, managing payroll, and providing comprehensive HR support across all True Key-managed properties.

Jenn Johnston, Area General Manager
Sooke, BC

Jenn has worked with True Key for almost a decade and has proven herself to be a dynamic and inspirational leader. Known for her unwavering dedication to excellence, Jenn has cultivated a reputation for creating operational success at each True Key property she has managed. Her visionary leadership style is characterized by a keen eye for detail, a relentless pursuit of innovation, and an unyielding commitment to staff development and guest satisfaction. Jenn’s leadership as General Manager of both Sooke properties, embodies the spirit of True Key’s values. Julia Blakley, a seasoned professional in the hospitality industry, has been an integral part of the Bighorn Meadows Resort for several years. During her tenure, she has demonstrated unwavering commitment and an exemplary work ethic in her prior roles as Guest Services Manager and Assistant General Manager.
