Michael Anderson, President
Michael is a successful entrepreneur and manager with over 20 years professional business development and management experience. His career has included condo style resort management, food & beverage business development, full service hotel management, luxury resort condo development and the ongoing management of the True Key family of hotels & resorts. He’s been actively engaged in Western Canadian hospitality markets including Canmore, Kelowna, Osoyoos, Banff, Parksville, Radium Hot Springs, Harrison Hot Springs, Sooke, Nootka Sound and Belize. His primary accountabilities include the development and oversight of the resort rental programs, owner association management and the financial and legal structures of the resorts. Additional accountabilities include consulting developers on legal structure, resort development, corporate structure and strategic operational and financial planning.
JoAnne Silgailis, Controller
As a key member of the True Key Hotels & Resorts team, Joanne has been involved with True Key and its affiliates for over 14 years. She leads a skilled accounting team and brings a senior level of accounting and managerial skills as well as a strong understanding of hospitality accounting practices. She currently oversees the daily accounting for all the True Key managed properties and companies along with providing clarity and leadership to all accounting functions. Prior to working with True Key Hotels & Resorts, Joanne worked at various vacation and resort management companies as a controller and brings over 20 years of combined experience.
Katie Wallace, Marketing Manager
Katie joined the True Key Hotels & Resorts team in the summer of 2011. With over 15 years in the hospitality industry, she is focused on applying her knowledge to build the True Key brand and prominently position all True Key managed properties in their feeder markets. She is responsible for the development and management of websites, executing advertising campaigns, graphic design and development of promotional materials, as well as online advertising and email marketing.
Dayle St. Dennis, Sales Manager
Dayle brings to the True Key Hotels & Resorts team a breadth and depth of sales experience in the hotel industry. Over a career of 18 years she has held a variety of high level sales positions with accommodators who have properties across Canada. Her responsibility at all True Key properties is driving rental revenue through guest accommodation sales as well as meeting room rental. Her passion for travel and sales are key driving factors and an obvious key ingredient for her role at True Key.
Karina Gaudreau, Human Resources Manager
Karina joined the True Key Hotels & Resorts team in December of 2015. She boasts 10 years Hospitality and 10 years Oil & Gas experience. Her primary focuses are on implementing standardized human resource policies, recruitment, employee engagement, payroll and providing human resource support to all True Key managed properties. Karina has been instrumental in defining, establishing and developing the True Key corporate culture.
Julie Lareau, General Manager
Bighorn Meadows Resort
With over 15 years’ experience in hotel and condo resort management, Julie’s strengths can be found in implementing, standardizing, and participating in all areas of hotel and resort operations. She has an exceptional customer service background with a passion for serving others.
Jenn Buerge, General Manager
Harrison Beach Hotel
Relatively new to the True Key management team, Buerge has quickly proven herself to be a dynamic and inspirational leader. She has significant experience with front desk management, accounting, business administration and bookkeeping. Her career has included time as an entrepreneur with extensive experience managing high-performing teams in many of her roles.
Adele Larkin, General Manager
Nootka Marine Adventures
Adele oversees Moutcha Bay Resort, Nootka Sound Resort, and Newton Cove Resort on Vancouver Island, BC. A native of Ontario with over 25 years of hospitality experience in BC, Adele’s background spans successful positions in Whistler, Parksville, and Ucluelet, BC. Prior to her appointment with Nootka Marine Adventures, Adele spent 6 productive years as General Manager of Black Rock Oceanfront Resort where she enjoyed many achievements including double digit revenue growth, streamlined operating procedures, lowered operation costs, and being awarded “Leader of the Year” by her employees and leadership team.
Tony MacDonald, Area General Manager - Sooke
Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina and SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort
A hospitality industry veteran with over 25 years of experience at hotels and resorts in Vancouver, Whistler, Osoyoos and Sun Peaks, Tony is well-versed when it comes to operations, administration, guest services, reservations, revenue management and housekeeping. Prior to working with True Key, MacDonald worked with large branded chain hotels including Four Seasons, Hyatt Regency, Pan Pacific and Hilton
Tara Ryder, General Manager
Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort
A seasoned veteran with True Key, Ryder most recently served as General Manager at the Harrison Beach Hotel. She began her management career while working with True Key as the Guest Services Manager at Bighorn Meadows Resort in Radium Hot Springs, BC in 2004. After 15 years with True Key, Ryder brings a wealth of knowledge to Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort.
